UK’s ABDOUJAPAROV, featuring Les “Fruitbat” Carter formerly of UK indie legends CARTER USM, return to Oz in March 2008 for a national run of shows.

Since his last visit in November 2006, Les has had an extremely busy year, dominated by some very successful CARTER USM reunion shows.
Teaming up with former partner-in-crime James “Jimbob” Morrison, the boys played 2 sold-out shows in late 2007 at London’s Brixton Academy and Glasgow’s Barrowlands Theatre, with the Barrowlands show recorded for a live DVD. Additionally, ABDOUJAPAROV released a brand-new album entitled “Cycle Riot History Gang”, through Les’ Spinach Records label and available through the band’s website at www.abdou.co.uk

WA shows are scheduled on the following dates:

29/03/08    Perth – Hyde Park Tavern
30/03/08   Fremantle - Mojo's

More dates and supports to be confirmed – check out www.abdou.co.uk for up-to-date tour news

Hmm, now that I've probably missed out on seeing Ween (dammit!), this could be a fine replacement... Smiley

so any way you shits, here's the complete Abdoujaparov 2008 tour!

Thursday the 27th of March listen out for Les "Le Fruity Flying Rat" Carter-japarov on RTR after 8am being grilled by one Pete Barr. Surely this will be music journalism of the most gritty kind.

Friday the 28th of March at the Rocketroom in support of local legends ZXSPECKY launching their new CD "One Size Too Small, Blue" along with Project Mayhem and Suffer Jet City. This'll clearly kick your arse.

Saturday the 29th of March at the Hyde Park Hotel front bar with support from (Mini) Burgers, Burton Cool Suit and the very very mighty Smokin' Eldorados shit yeah!

Sunday the 30th of March at Mojo's Freo along with Mitey Ko and some ultra secret special guests...hot dang this'll be bigger then most things you can fathom that's for sure.

Are there presale tickets (for Hydey / Mojo's), or is it just on the door?

Oh, I'll be there, don't you worry about that. Smiley  That flatmate of mine won't be, though... he'll be out in Scarborough mixing bands for drunk people. Next time, he promises...
