Roxy Music.  The first album.
Brian Eno - Music for Airports
Brian Eno - More Music for films
Brian Eno David Byrne - My Life in the Bush of ghosts - with the deleted track 'Koran' back in place.

I'm going through a bit of an Eno phase.

i love it. heaps more chilled than the other albums. took me few listens to get into it. better than the cheesey 'music for people'. on par with nude, except not as electronic and no heavy guitar. the whole things got an acoustic sound to it. i dont think anything he does will grab the the way the first album did.  give it a spin.

oh by the way, theyre doing a second limited print of 'a complete demonstration' at the moment. so keep an eye out on the website or myspace if your keen for one, coz no doubt theyll sell out again.

Job for a Cowboy - Genesis

This album surprised me, a bit samey and lacking in hooks (but i'm more into melodic death, myself) but very solid and listenable

disturbingly I listened to my brother's I Killed The Prom Queen - Music for the Recently Deceased CD today and if it weren't for all the breakdowns it'd actually be kinda decent!

I saw them live at The East Brunswick Club in Dec last year... they had more than 3 peeps on stage. Bridewell's voice was haunting! His banter between songs was pretty funny too  cheesy

I've always dug the promise of hardcore and ska 'together at last' - it's just really hard to find great bands that pull it off. The best marriage of these genres I've heard is the Blue Meanies 'Full Throttle' - but their other albums are average, highlighting the difficulty in meshing these genres. Any others?

Will check this out ta  smiley

ive no idea of any others, just stumbled onto these guys the other day.

id never heard of bands meshing the two styles but had fantasised about the idea myself.

aparently these guys are trying to raise money to get out to australia at the mo.

sweet, will check out the blue meanines.
