..you air drumming to Jaco, Russ? I don't really air drum to bassists... You can't air drum along with what a bassist is playing? Accompanied as he was, by drums?? ..or is it just Jaco? Understandable, Russ! Sheesh the concept of a "Rhythm section" just died

Tis a shame it's not the Brian Setzer Orchestra, but good news nonetheless. Original lineup, too!

Atm i'm listening to.. Utopia's self titled album. Anything Rundgren did from 67 till the late 70's is pure gold, then he went a bit faggy...

Haha s'long as you know that I know just who the great Jaco Pastorius is, and what he plays! Mind you I never did learn about the drummer specifically They're all superheroes to me, in terms of musicianship. Todd Rundgren is someone I only ever read about. Although i'm sure I've heard something. Thanks for getting me curious.. this thread is great for getting inspired to discover stuff.

The car currently has Rocket From The Crypt's Scream Dracula Scream album, and Body Count's Cop Killer album on rotation. Work has Schvendes and Streetlight's newies. Home has Winamp on random.

I love RFTC!! Definitely their best album, imho... amazing band live as well. They played a free concert in a parc near where I lived 4 or 5 years ago and it began to rain during the first encore, but they kept playing for another half an hour. Everybody ended up wet and happy... Speedo is one hell of a frontman!
Meanwhile, I'm listening to Millionaire's Outside the Simian Flock... I can't describe how much I love this album. I usually can't listen to the same album more than 1 or 2 times in a row (if I've heard it before, that's different for new albums), but I can listen to this one for days on end.

Is that your alternate name for Guns 'n' Roses, or another band? I'm listening to the Go-Betweens, nice music for a sunny afternoon. It's a damn shame Grant McLennan died...

Sometimes it's not a lack of technical knowledge, and it's not laziness. It's just a lack of anything resembling what we call motivation. Like Ron Livingston said in Office Space, "It's not that I'm lazy... I just don't care!"

Nah that's their name... it's the three core guys from Snuff, just swapping instruments.
Incidentally, Duncan from Snuff has a solo project called Billy No Mates - easily the best name for a solo project ever.

Which he definitely does. That's actually a great way to sum up Snuff... a punk band that will appeal to people who read Viz. I might pinch that
