If you like to get into shows at a nerdlike level, then this is a must, I got sucked in. The best TV show website ever.

I spent about two hours in that house going through all the clues. It looks like a lot of effort has gone into this one, so i'm expecting quality. Looks very spooky.

Some people are saying 'poor man's Twin peaks', meaning.. it's one of the best shows on current TV
Pretty much every minute aspect of every scene references classic American horror movies so trainspotters are in heaven.
The 'you're going to die in there' site has let me down, they promised new clues each week.

The show has been designed to just keep rolling out a dense plot at a ridiculous pace, and build a mythology based on episodes crammed with hints.
Even when it seems like nothing is happening, you've got nerds on the FX 'community' forums posting freeze frame stills with closeups on things happening in the background of scenes etc..
Every song, every minor aspect of each visual, every line of dialogue, every detail of every shot sequence.. is a reference to some other horror movie, some 'past' clue about the history of the house/characters, or something that is bound to happen in the show in future.
If you're not a bit of a nerd for that kind of stuff then I daresay I could understand you finding the whole thing pointless. It's pretty much what the whole show is shooting for. Apparently it gets much better, and way more intense when it eases off trying to establish the whole muddling context. It just got picked up for a second season.

I'm tragically following this show any way I can, in lieu of a decent download upgrade yet, but it's pretty frustrating when you're trying to get into it.
Channel 11 are just taking the piss!
It also means you kind of have to stay away from the forums, which are actually quite interesting, because they're off and racing with this stateside.
Enjoying it anyway, but could be much better the way you suggest, for sure.

Sadly for me, it appears to have gone the same drama-ridden way as most other tv series, which is why I generally don't bother with them.
However, the acting is decent and I have the last 4 episodes, so Ill persist if Chair can promise me theres a huge payoff at the end?

There is a huge payoff at the end, especially if you're uncertain about liking the current storyline haha
I love the concept. Theres not been much gore, but when you think about what is/has been going down in murder house.. well, the tale is very sad, very dark, and still quite horrific as a ghost story.

Oh man, the shit storm that is going down in the AHS forum over how they chose to end this season certainly builds intrigue for whatever they do with next season. Its hard to discuss without dropping spoilers for whats left of season one for free to air viewers in Aus.
Golden Globe noms for the show, and Jessica Lange! I thought most of the actors in this were shit-hot.
