Hey dudes I know this isn't the right spot for this, but Stretch may still be selling my gear.

Just thought I'd give you the heads up.

Stretch Wilson (goes by 'stretch' on perthbands) was our guitarist up until a couple of months ago.

Stretch was looking after my old Eminar 400w bass amp and small PA system for me, as I'd just moved into a unit and didn't have the storage room for the gear.

About a month ago he let me know he needed it gone. I didn't have a car at the time, but I said I'd try to get it out asap.

I bought a car last week, messaged Stretch to ask whether I can come pick up the gear or if he could drop it off.

I get a message back that he's taken all of my gear to the tip. (cue me freaking out, i've had this gear since high school, the bass amp was used for the Bindoon Rock Festival. It wasn't expensive gear, but it had a lot of sentimental attachment!)

Turns out he'd actually sold it on perthbands. (Cue me freaking out again. What a douche!)

Turns out he's not going to pay me for the gear of mine that he sold, the band kitty he was looking after or give back the EPs he has in his possession.

Anyway, I thought some of you might want to know. I also told Stretch that I'd post this if I didn't get my gear or money back, so it won't be news to him.

His number is 555-4-SALE if you'd like to ask him to join your band.

Cheers

Skinny

Would Stretch care to weigh in with his side of the argument?
And that is all I have to say about that.

Skinny whose account this post has come from is actually trying to have a go at me after i left his band.
I then started writing acoustic stuff and decided to get people together, he is just annoyed i didn't inform him i left to do that.

I asked him several times since June this year to remove his gear from my place as i was not happy being in a band that i was been bullied by him in,
He is an abusive person and i seemed to continually get his verbal abuse at band practise and when i left the band he stopped all contact.

My attempt to talk to him at a 21st party we both attend turned into failure so i couldn't ask him to remove his stuff from my house,
So i put his stuff in the tip pile at my house after success to sell it failed. My parents have been demanding his stuff be removed from the house since June.
What else was i suppose to do when this guy didn't want a thing to do with me and has super selective hearing to avoid bad news.

He is well known for being a douche bag and talking behind peoples backs when they do something like move to the country so they can stay in Australia to keep their visa, but by doing so he was kicked out of the band for doing that. I took that person position and the same thing happened to me.
This is just an abusive guy looking to get back at me for leaving a band due to change in musical style and wanting to remove myself from his abuse in his band.

Well it sounds like you're both cunts. And also both idiots.

I don't give a shit who left who's band but Skinny, you got friends who could have helped you pick up that gear in all that time?

And Stretch, you couldn't have just dropped this stuff off at his place? Left it on the doorstep for him?
And that is all I have to say about that.

So you don't deny that you disposed of/ sold someone else's gear?
And that is all I have to say about that.

I don't deny that, i did put his shit in the pile that my dad was taking to the tip before they went to europe.
Seriously not trying to start tearing friends apart, i offered to pay him money for his gear which wasn't worth much due to damage and wear.
His pa didn't work and neither did his bass amp.

Well if you were to take this one to Judge Judy then I think you'd be the one in the shit. Nobody gives a fuck how your band broke up but you've destroyed someone else's property. I suggest you sort this out amongst yourselves before he takes you to court.
And that is all I have to say about that.

Thanks guys - and yes I agree, this whole situation makes us both look like cunts.

Regardless of band issues I really would've appreciated a heads up that my gear was about to get trashed - I would've tried a lot harder to get my gear picked up. As it was I thought it was safe.

Anyway, I think Stretch and I have sorted this out between us now. I apologise for putting this on perthbands, but it was either that or file a police report.

Feel free to delete this thread and the one I posted in The Slaughterhouse (which I think has already been deleted).

Cheers

I reckon Judge Judy would suggest that you're full of shit. Common sense would dictate that if you leave rubbish with someone you have fallen out with, and make no attempt to collect within a couple of months (splitting the difference in stories), the person whose place it is at has the right to get rid.
