These posts seem incredibly suss to me -both users signed up just to make these posts. I'm going to take a stab and say that at least one of these users is Brian Mitra or someone else from Fremantle Recording Studios...

When I go to record, I not only try to find a good studio, but also an engineer who has the right skills and personality for the job, as well a keen interest in the style of music Ill be recording.
These few things make a huge difference to the final product!

Yeah, he's good. Very good, in fact. But only really for metal. And VERY expensive.
Check out Bergerk in Rivervale. Alan has done many bands from many different genres and will be doing our EP in a few weeks. He's been in the game for quite a while too. Not just one of these kids that thinks just coz he did a course at TAFE and has ProTools on his Macbook that he is a professional sound engineer.
My advice would be: do a LOT of research and listen to samples before you decide.

I have my own overdub/mix room and record out of a few different studios around Perth, so my pricing is flexible and it gives me a lot of options to tailor the recording method to your artistic style.
In regards to the other posters, yeah I can vouch for Laurie McCallum at Sumo as well. Sumo is a fantastic studio, in fact it's one of my favourites to use myself. Laurie's really got his own sound going too. I recorded Particle Exhilarator there (And a bunch of other stuff) and check out how different that sounds from his mixes!
Alan at Bergerk is a great guy too and has a bunch of interesting gear. Again, completely different style.
