I support many of their motives but the last few years they are doing little more than causing trouble. They prey on the vulnerable, use 'good cause' to take money, spread propagandar, employ the simple minded to beg for money for them and it's almost become a right of path to have to risk life to be fully accepted.
It is in the governments best interest to have whaling banned but these shitheads just take everything 10 steps back. I'm off them

I was a hippy student for a while so got caught up a bit in it. They first pissed me off when I discovererd what a bitch fight it was to stop them taking my money.

Well i'm critical of one country asserting their laws in another country's official territory in general. I can see how it would be considered an act of war in some circumstances, or a big 'fuck you' to a whole country... not just the few people actually involved.

I don't like how stepping onto a US ship harboured in Fremantle puts you under their laws, either, for example. It's complicated because trading partners and allies make formal agreements over such matters specific to each case.

But I don't know enough about the ins and outs of this recent fiasco to really say anything. I'm highly suspicious over whether you know much about what you are referring to, either.

I know that Japan had every right take them and charge them, otherwIse they wouldn't have. I know they boarded that ship illegally. I know the government are trying to have whaling banned but international laws make this a very difficult process which Greenpeace are doing lots of damage to. I know they have just cost us hundreds of thousands of dollars and I know what they did was plain wrong

So was Japans whaling in Australian waters, that bans whaling other than for scientific purpose as I understand it, actually legal?

Are you able to professionally interpret and defend or contest what seem to be highly contested and legally debatable international, and national laws and agreements in any court of law, or governing tribunal for international diplomacy?

I'm sorry, I might be mistaken... are you out there monitoring the activities of every Japanese vessel equipped with whaling gear 24/7, like Greenpeace try to? Do Australian border protection's, or any other official Sea corps efforts even compare?

Have you racked up comparable sea hours, study and qualifications to be a captain of a ship, scientific observer etc as well as being a qualified diplomat, international lawyer and master of communications??
My suspicions could be completely unfounded, I don't know!

This is simple logic dipshit. Japan did nothing illegal otherwise it would have gone further. By the way, they were not on Australian waters when they boarded the boat. Just another little porky to make the enemy look bad - as Greenpeace does.

Hey I already said I don't know any specifics, and i'm not gonna say that by reading the West Australian or watching a 5 minute news segment would qualify my view. I'm not even against genuine scientific research depending on the goal. I'd love to know where you're getting your info from, and how qualified you are to interpret it.

You're dealing with, and buying into accusations and counter accusations that will, in real life, involve people far more qualified to comment than you or I.
