So good. Not a word there that I dont agree with.

I love ppl ripping on jjj

gimme castazulio or frances leach

helen razor and mikey robbins, now that was morning radio.

I guess 2 good things happened for the stations potential future- rosey and andrew hoag left. both of them give me the shits. What's the deal with a metal presenter that puts you to sleep. rtr's metal show owns over that

Does anyone know who did super request before rosie beatoff? I think i actually listened to it then

I remember listening to like a j-files on captain beefheart, was hell cool

oh yeah and sans cisco is that actually music?

That clip was awesome!
And yes, JJJ has gone to shit. Aside from half the music being total garbage, there are so many lame presenters. Couldn't stand Rosie and that fuckwit who does the movie reviews makes me want to spew. And the self promotion drives me up fucking wall.

I remember when super request was Tunny

Fear not my friends... The darlings of the indie scene Foster the People can now be heard on 94.5fm. Indie is officially dead. Every time you say that a hipster falls off his fixie.

Triple J will continue the cycle as the staff in their mid-late 30's get into positions of power/importance and remake the station in their own image. Grunge/90's influenced stuff is slowly working it's way into the programming. i tend to oscillate the dial between triple j and rtr so end up I listening to a fair bit of triple j as the radio is on all day. there is change in the air.

Results of my listening survey...

Triple J (excludes specialty programs)
30% of songs sound like the Strokes
20% of songs sound like the Vines
30% of songs are talking in an Aussie accent over other people's music
10% of songs sound like Duran Duran
5% of songs have a banjo (thought that seems to have settled down a bit)
5% of songs are San Cisco or Lana Del Rey

RTR
60% of songs are new and interesting
20% of songs are throwbacks
15% of songs sound like the back of my fridge
5% of songs are smRts

true that, APRA cheque coming in mail soon :)

JJJ used to be a lot better, though never great. what Rob’s Guitar Coaching said was right - I remember Beefheart and Velvets specials...
