As part of Fringe World Festival, the Mustang Bar is combining laffs and great tunes!

Local, national and international Comedians from 7 to 9pm ($5 entry)

Then the rock show kicks off with ...

The powerful voice and ferocious guitar playing of GERARD MCARTNEY,
The harmony fuelled acoustic gems of Fat Shan Music favourites, OUR MAN IN BERLIN,
The sometimes moody, but always catchy pop-rock of CAPE TOWN LULLABY.

If you're there later on for the bands only, I'm pretty sure it's FREE entry. The bands will finish up a little after midnight. Mustang Bar is on 46 Lake St Northbridge.

I wonder if I made a bad choice with the topic title. The "Mustang" part would make me assume dodgy cover bands.

Oh well, I can't figure out how to change it.

So, playing as a relatively unknown, local, original band at the Mustang = A bit weird.

Was still a good night though. Our Man in Berlin were great. My first time seeing them and I was impressed. Tight, moody, assured mellow pop with great vocals. Something like a cross between the Panics and some of Pink Floyd's latter-day stuff. Gerard also impressed with a great voice and a few brave cover choices that worked surprisingly well (eg. Hurt by NIN/Cash). I reckon we played all right too.
