Gozzy Rock is having it's 25th birthday! That's right, WA's longest running battle of the bands competition is in it's 25th year, and is set to be another fine summer celebration of local music.

Heats are already underway with 16 bands battling it out at the Don Russell Performing Arts Centre in Thornlie every Thursday night from 6 - 9:30pm. Only 8 bands will make it through to the final on the 25th February, which is once again being held at Centennial Pioneer Park, Federation Parade, Gosnells, from 11am - 9pm.

Both the heats and the final are drug and alcohol free events, and are also FREE to attend, for all ages.

This year sees Abbe May headlining the finals, along with support acts:

44th Sunset, Blazin' Entrails, Stillwater Giants (last year's winner), Gombo, Paltiva, Stop Motion and The Takeover

This year's finalists fighting for a place in the top 8 include:

Heat 1 (2nd Feb): Bad Leg, Weekend War, Prescient, Smooth Intentions

Heat 2 (9th Feb): Silver Grenade, Disfaux, Twisted Affection, Trouble on Deck, Violet Scene

Heat 3 (16th Feb): The Long March, Hey Hurricane, Goose, Victory Risk, Sticky Sweet, Blind Highway
