Is there anyone out there that can play more than a rockbeat and isnt a mercenary?

Sometimes we do play rock stuff but even then you need to play with feel/groove.

We play classic 70s/blues/rock/funk/soul..covers and originals with more focus on originals.

We have two guitarists (at the moment the 2nd guitarist is playing drums) a lead singer,
two backup singers and a bass man..... All we need is a decent drummer.

Must be able to play ghost notes and shuffles

Must be committed, reliable and able to rehearse at least once a week

We rehearse in Armadale

If this sounds like you please call Trevor on 0413 062 648
There's more ideas in the first two bars of a little feat song than there is on your whole album.

What sort of stuff are you playing. I am very much a "feel" drummer I am looking to do something interesting & had many years experience, good gear & attitude.

Can you advise some of the songs/artists you cover - the genres listed cover a very broad range. What experience have you had? Asking for ghost notes and shuffles either says you guys have had some shitty drummers apply that can't cover different feels or your'e fairly young? This should be part of the reportoire of any decent gig level drummer.

I play all genres from rock, hard rock and blues through to groove, funk and jazz. 20+ years experience and professional gear.

It should be part of any decent drummers repertoire but sadly this isn't the case.
Some of the songs were doing are:
sly and the family stone - everyday people
clapton - the core
aretha franklin - baby i love you
foghat - i just wanna make love to you
savoy brown - highway blues
and the originals are all groove based
