I know this is a ridiculously long, longshot, end by longshot standards.
But is there a pedal steel guitar player anywhere in the perth area who'd be keen to join my act Ralway Bell?

Hi there,
Great tunes specially the "So lost" & "Queenstone"
Richmond fontaine are cool, my favorite album is "Thirteen Cities".
Any luck with PSG player?

Hey there, thanks for the feedback! Unfortunately no luck with the pedal steel player. I'm more than impressed that you know richmond fontaine! Thirteen cities is great, I think my favorite is we used to think the freeway sounded like a river! Cheers

Yeah I can imagine it would be hard work finding someone in Perth, we just bought a lapsteel and using that, not the same as pedal steel i know but has worked pretty well for us.

Hey dogswamp, thanks for the generous offer - I'm hoping to record some more tunes in the 2nd half of this year and will surely be in contact! thanks too for the kind remarks!

Would be keen to know what acts all you guys are playing in so I can check them out!

Hi again

Always keen to do recording, I first heard about Richmond Fontaine in 2004 when Uncut mag began ranting and raving about post to wire, typical of the British music press, dont seem to hear much about them now. Have also been meaning to get a hold of the three books Willy Vlautin has written.

You can call me on 0401429916, or email dogswamp@hotmail.com and I can send you links to a couple of bands i've been involved with

I play little PSG E9th (got it form Germany) and lap steel  C6th & E13.
PSG & lap-steel are so similar instruments but the tunings can make the sound very different.
Not in a band now but I m trying to form a psych/folk/retro project .
