Wolf Parade/Sunset Rubdown/Handsome Furs/Various Other Side Projects

Wolf Parade being my primary love, I can't wait for some new material, which, by all reports, should be with us toward the end of this year (I think). Apologies to the Queen Mary is one of my all time favourites, and I'm betting that this newy will be just as fucking good based on some of the snippets I've heard and the quality of the side projects.
Sunset Rubdown have a new album out at the end of this year called Random Spirit Lover, which I am excitedly d/ling this very second. By all reports so far its a fucking cracker, and given the quality of Shut Up I Am Dreaming I can only imagine the audio ecstasy I will be in tonight when I arrive home from work to listen to Spencer Krug's latest masterpiece.
Handsome Furs are perhaps my marginally least favourite of the three, but it is very marginal. The debut album Plague Park that they released earlier this year was highly enjoyable and a little different to the previous material Dan Boeckner has done with WP, but still very good.
Finally, the other various side projects that float around are, I hear, quite good. I never got around to listening to Swan Lake, which I think is Krug, Carey Mercer (?) from Frog Eyes and Dan Bejar of Destroyer/New Pornographers, but it is on my to do list. I hope that we are lucky enough to get a tour sometime in the near future, but until then I'll just be content to bask in the amazingness of all mentioned bands. <3 -_-

Handsome Furs is my favourite of the lot though, it's hypnotic, desolate and focused. i haven't heard sunset rubdown though.

If DD is getting drunk and having a house party then HF is walking home from the house party with the last of the beers.
